Privacy policy
This policy explains how Robert J. Szigeti III ("I", "me") handles information in connection with Robert J. Szigeti III's Assistant (the "Assistant"), a personal text messaging assistant that uses the number (609) 542-2410. The Assistant is for personal, non-commercial use and only communicates with friends and family.
How people opt in
The Assistant only texts people who have agreed to receive messages from it. Consent is given in one of two ways:
- Verbally: I ask the person directly, in person or by phone, whether they are willing to receive texts from the Assistant, and only add their number if they say yes. After they agree, the Assistant sends a confirmation text explaining how to stop messages.
- By texting first: I give the number to a friend or family member, and they choose to text it. The Assistant replies to messages they send.
Phone numbers are never collected through a public form, purchased, or obtained from any list.
What information is involved
- Your mobile phone number.
- The content of messages sent to and from the Assistant.
- Basic delivery information, such as timestamps and whether a message was delivered.
How it is used
This information is used only to send you messages you agreed to receive, to reply to messages you send, and to honor opt-out and help requests. It is never used for advertising or marketing.
Sharing
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with, sold to, or rented to any third parties.
To operate the Assistant, messages pass through service providers that process them only to deliver or compose messages: the messaging platform (Twilio) and the wireless carriers, and an AI service that helps the Assistant write replies. These providers are not permitted to use your information for their own marketing.
Information may also be disclosed if required by law.
Retention and deletion
Message history is kept only as long as needed to run the Assistant. You can ask me to delete your number and message history at any time by emailing rjs3@szigeti.us.
Opting out
Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts. You will receive one message confirming you have been unsubscribed, and no further messages after that. Reply START to opt back in.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
